Using a hands-on approach, Kaasei Training and Consulting participants are introduced to various teachings of plant science and the healing properties of plants and traditional foods of southeast Alaska Natives. Hiking, gathering, preserving and cooking activities will help participants further their understanding of our beautiful surroundings, increase our appreciation for the deep cultural history of the Indigenous people of Alaska and gain knowledge of gathering traditional plants and wild foods ethically and respectfully.
